About the Organisation

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (erstwhile National Rail & Transportation Institute) is a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India. The University was established in the year 2018 as a Deemed to be University under De Novo Category. It has now got converted into a Central University and rechristened as Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya on 06/12/2022 vide Central Universities (Amendment) Act 2022.
